Personalized Eye Care, Professional Expertise

At Teeple Optometry we understand the importance of having clear, comfortable vision and healthy eyes through all stages of life and make it our goal to provide you and your family with personalized eye care and professional service.

Comprehensive Eye Care

Comprehensive eye care is preventive medicine for the eyes. Periodic eye examinations are recommended for all ages, from infants to the elderly including those with special needs. Primary care visits are tailored to the individual, respecting their needs and concerns. Vision is much more than 20/20 and eye health is more than “my eyes feel fine”. Vision testing includes measuring eye alignment, colour vision, peripheral vision, and other parameters. Eye health is examined with the latest technology. Recommendations for your personalized care, based on the findings, are provided and explained in detail.

Adults

Your visit will include an eye and health history; measurement of vision and eye coordination including determination of vision correction prescription; a complete eye health assessment to reveal and document any eye disease or condition, including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and retina problems. Your pupils will be likely be dilated at the first visit and as necessary at following visits. Your needs will be addressed with a detailed explanation of any recommended treatment options including preventive care, eye wear, contact lenses, medical treatment and surgical treatment if required. Bring along any glasses, contact lenses, and eye drops that you use, as well as a list of your medications. You should be prepared for your visit to take about 1 ½ hours.

Contact Lenses

Ready to ditch your frames? Fitting your new contact lenses to your needs and your eyes is an important step. We can help you choose the contact lenses most suitable for your eyes, and we’ll conduct an accurate fitting to make sure you forget you’re even wearing them. We have an extensive inventory of trial contact lenses to ensure the healthiest eyes and best vision possible for contact lens wearers of all ages.

Laser Vision

Considering Laser Vision Correction? This method is an excellent and safe way to permanently correct your vision problems. We offer all patients the option of a Laser Vision Correction Pre-operative Assessment to determine if they are a good candidate or not. A complete assessment of your eyes and visual needs will enable us to provide you with independent advice. Many of our patients are treated at Laser Vision London, with post-operative follow-up visits at our office.

Eye Disease

Healthy eyes are essential for good vision. Some eye diseases can develop and progress quietly without any initial symptoms. We are extensively trained and equipped to diagnose and treat eye disease. If the treatment required is beyond our scope of practice, we will refer you to the appropriate health professional. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have concerns about your eyes.

Children

So much of how our children learn is with their eyes. They often don’t realize when their vision is blurred or uncomfortable until discovered with an eye examination.

Babies, toddlers and young children can easily have an eye exam that is fun and informative. A first examination for babies is recommended between 6 and 9 months of age. For older children, an eye exam is recommended each year as they grow and advance through school.

Fashion Eyewear

We want you to love your frames! Eyewear should give clear vision and be comfortable to wear, and just as importantly, be attractive. We carry high quality frames from great designers, with only the best quality lenses. Our eyewear is fully guaranteed for one year. We also carry durable children’s glasses, comfortable safety eyewear, functional fashion sunglasses, and many accessories.

Optical Lab

Our in-house lab uses the latest equipment to produce stunning lens fits, same-day service on many lenses, and custom shaping and edging. We can give you the look and fit you’re looking for without your frames leaving our office. Tell us what you’re dreaming of and we can tell you whether we can accommodate your eyewear needs.

Emergencies

In the case of an eye emergency, please call our office immediately. Our team is trained to understand your symptoms and provide you with appropriate advice about immediate care or emergency appointments. Our doctors can effectively treat or manage all eye emergencies including injuries and foreign particles in the eye, red or infected eyes, sudden loss of vision, or the sudden onset of blurred or double vision. If an emergency occurs after hours, please proceed to the closest emergency room.
